Going home today!

After my transplant coordinator goes over things with us at 2, I’m free to go home! I’m so excited! I feel a lot better today and I think I’m regaining some kind of resemblance to ankles! 🙂 All of the doctors and surgeons who have taken care of me have stopped by to wish me well, and the doctors who are on Liver Team have said I can go home. I can’t believe I had a liver transplant almost exactly a week ago tonight, and I really can’t say I have liver disease anymore. It’s all so much to take in. I have a second chance at life just in a blur of a week!

Going home is probably going to take more energy than I’ve used all week, but it will be so great. I miss my furbabies, and my sweet parents just need to have their world in one location instead of two!

So much love and gratitude to you all, and thank you for all of the prayers and support. Hopefully I can rest more at home than here in the noisy hospital where someone is watching and charting my every breath. I pray to be renewed each day and hope to start becoming more active and up to seeing all of my friends soon!
