I love the part in the song posted below that says…
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death
Your perfect love is casting out fear
And even when I’m caught in the middle of the storms of this life
I won’t turn back
I know you are near
And I will fear no evil
For my God is with me
And there will be an end to these troubles
But until that day comes
We’ll live to know You here on the earth
Still I will praise You
The song references The heart that holds on. Feels kind of familiar, doesn’t it? But lately I’ve been thinking how there will be a day, there will be an end to these troubles.
I’m no philosopher or pastor by any means. I’m barely a dreamer. But, as restless and frustrated as I get, I’ve found hope to hold onto. Meager at times, but always there. I know, no matter where this journey ends up, this heart is safe in the hands of Abba, our Father, safe in the hands that hung the moon and put the ocean into place. Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil.
But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine. When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. For I am the LORD thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Savior
